And, like their predecessors, the La Sphere Evo isn’t meant to blend into the home as each loudspeaker is essentially a sculpture.

More compact, still active

The new La Sphere Evo is designed as a more compact, lighter and more modern version of the Cabasse’s original La Sphere. Both speakers stand roughly 4.5 feet tall, but while each La Sphere weighs 216 pounds, each Evo weighs just over 130 pounds.

Aside from size, the most significant difference from the original La Sphere is that the Evo is a self-contained, active wireless speaker system. While the originals required external components (separate amps, preamps, and streamers), the Evo speakers house all their amplification, DACs, and streamers in their base — which is just 7 cm thick.

This means that the Evo promises to be a much more plug-and-play-ready system.
