Huckberry Gives a Subtle Update to This Tough-As-Nails Titanium Field Watch

(Speaking of the case back, it is worth noting that Citizen Eco-Drive watches must be sent back to the brand to be serviced, which is indicated there.)

Huckberry only made two adjustments to the original Promaster Tough, and both are on the dial. The dial color is an olive drab, which is new to the collection but retains the shimmering grainy texture of previous references.

The other update is that the painted numeral, baton and triangle hour markers are now outlined. I have to say that, even though it is a minor difference, I like the outlined look more than the original solid markers because it adds a layer of texture to the dial.

Huckberry has a thing for titanium watches, having previously worked with Timex and Zodiac in the alloy. So it was only a matter of time before a collaboration with Citizen happened.

Citizen created the first titanium watch in 1970, and the Japanese watchmaker has dominated the field ever since. Super Titanium is the lightest and most durable version of the alloy I’ve tested in watches, and it’s not even close.
